Automated driveway gates, built to match the fence.
Sliding and swing gates for the driveway, built in the same timber or steel as your front fence. Jake works out the right gate and motor for your driveway on the site visit.

Sliding or swing?
- Sliding gates
- Run along a track beside the fence. Best for short driveways, sloping driveways, and where a car parks close to the gate. Needs clear fence line beside the opening for the gate to slide into.
- Swing gates
- Open inward like doors, as a single leaf or a pair. Need a clear, fairly flat area behind the gate for the arc.
What goes into a good automated gate
The gate is only as good as what it's hung on. Posts and footings need to carry the weight, the track or hinges need to be level, and the gate needs to run freely before a motor goes anywhere near it. A gate that drags by hand will strain the motor and fail early.
Safety matters too. Automated gates should stop or reverse when something is in the way, using safety beams or obstruction sensing.
Matching the front fence
If you're putting in a new front fence, build the gate with it. The gate then uses the same materials, slat spacing and finish, so it reads as one fence.

Common questions
How much does an automated gate cost?
It depends on the gate size and material, sliding or swing, the motor, and the power supply. Jake looks at the driveway on site and sends a line-itemised quote the same night.
Do I need power at the gate?
A gate motor needs a power supply near the gate. Jake will check what's there on the site visit and include what's needed in the quote.
Can you automate my existing gate?
Sometimes. It depends on the gate's weight, condition and how freely it runs. Jake can tell you on site whether it's worth automating or better to replace.
